General Terms & Conditions, Recommendations
INCLUDED:
1) Accommodation (on twin sharing basis).
2) Off-road, reliable motorcycle (Hero Motocorp Xpulse or RE Himalayan) and fuel.
3) All meals, en route teas & snacks (one exception, see below*).
4) Unlimited safe drinking water.
5) Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Indian Nationals (participants' identity particulars to be provided 10 days in advance). Foreign nationals, see below**.
6) No hidden costs.
7) The highlights of the expedition will be filmed and a video (& photos) will be available.
EXCLUDED:
1) External travel or airfare: our expedition begins and ends at Guwahati, Assam.
2) ** Foreign Nationals will have to pay a surcharge of Rs 5,000 (about $ 62) for a PAP (Protected Area Permit). We will arrange this for you. Documents required at least 10 days in advance: Passport, visa, photo, application form. It goes without saying that a tourist visa for India must be obtained by the rider/groupie at an Indian Embassy.
3) Personal gear: riders have to bring their gear and protection. Please note that helmets, riding gloves, riding boots, knee and elbow protections are compulsory to participate. Riders should also be properly equipped to face harsh, cold conditions, and rain/snow at altitudes exceeding 4,000 metres.
4) Additional stay, meals, expenses due to bad weather, strikes, natural calamities, or expenses resulting from delays in return flights.
5) Any alcoholic beverage, laundry, soft drinks beyond those provided with regular meals.
6) * The last day parting dinner at Guwahati will be shared at actuals on the spot.
SUPPORT:
1) Back-up vehicle carrying the bulk of rider's luggage, tools, and first aid.
2) Experienced Route Guide
3) Medical first aid assistance and first aid kit/treatment for common illnesses. However, we expect the participants to reach us in healthy physical condition, reasonable fitness shape, and prepared for a certain amount of physical hardships as it is common to encounter in these regions: rain, snow, cold, thin high-altitude air.
SECURITY DEPOSIT:
Before starting, we collect an additional security deposit of Rs 5,000 against damages, which will be refunded after returning the motorbike in good shape.
LICENCE:
Every rider must hold a driving license valid in India (International DL for foreign nationals).
Motorcycles are insured by us.
ACCIDENT/ILLNESS:
In the unlikely event of an incident/accident/illness, although we will spare no effort to help and assist, rescue/medical expenses will be borne by the participant. We will need you to sign a liability waiver before the start of the expedition.
COMPANIONS – PILLIONS
Family members/friends may join as pillion riders, or as accompanying participants by car (2 persons Max). Please see our charge for both cases.
PAYMENT POLICY: 50% advance to be paid for booking your expedition, the full amount 1 week before the start of the expedition.
REFUND POLICY: on client cancellation, within a month from our starting date, the full amount will be refunded. Past this deadline, 50% will be retained. No refund within a week from starting date.
In case we decide to cancel the expedition, either by lack of a sufficient number of participants or any other compelling and unavoidable reason, the full amount will be returned.
